Retro Ballroom and On Your Toes Owner and Instructor 
Jeff Nehrbass (Fellow, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Former World and United States National Pro/Am Ballroom Champion, National champion coach and US Championship Adjudicator, he and his wife Cindy own and operate On Your Toes School of Dance. Mr. Nehrbass received his B.A. degree at the University of Wisconsin and M. Div. At Luther Theological Seminary. He is a member of the National Dance Council of America and certified to teach ballroom through the North American Dance Teachers Association and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). He is a past professional champion of numerous American Ballroom and International Standard competitions around the country. Mr. Nehrbass is a former executive officer to the ISTD National Committee.

Julie Delene

Julie Delene has taught numerous groups and individuals how to use breath and dance to increase their personal fulfillment. She is a professional ballroom dance teacher who recently moved here from La Crosse, Wisconsin where she ran and operated a successful dance business and creative arts studio, Slippers. Her business drew people from the surrounding areas of Winona, Caledonia, Rushford in Minnesota and Onalaska, La Crosse and Viroqua, Wisconsin. In its first year of business, Slippers was nominated for Wisconsin's Main Street Business of the Year. Julie was also interviewed several times on the La Crosse TV news.   Julie's dance experience includes American smooth and rhythm and International standard and latin. As a competitive dancer, Julie has received multiple 1st place awards in silver level competitions. She is currently working toward teacher certification.   Julie is passionate about dance and appreciates the opportunity to share the many jewels that dance has to offer. She is also a strategic life and business developer, founder of Move As One, LLC, and creator of the M-O-V-E method. Julie has found dance to be a life enhancing activity and another way to learn the "art of connection". She writes a monthly column in the Dancing Times called, Dance Into Your Best Life. Join her as she shares her commitment to use dance for joyful inspiration.

 Ellymae Toupin

W hen she was a teenager, Ellymae started her ballroom career as one of Jeff Nehrbass' students.  She found learning ballroom was natural for her and started competitions after only dancing for a year.  Now she has leaped one step further and is an instructor at Retro Ballroom, and is in progress of earning her United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (U.N.I.S.T.D).  She is familiar with everything from the waltz to the Cha Cha and is passionate about encouraging others to learn a variety of dances, no matter what level they are.  Most important to Ellymae is to make her students succeed in their dancing.  Whether you want to learn new dances, techniques or try something new, Ellymae would love to assist you in achieving your goals. 

Laurel Behning

 Laurel has been a social ballroom dancer for ten years, has taken lessons from many top area instructors and has performed exhibitions dances.  Laurel currently teaches ballroom dance lessons to private students, on and off-site group classes and the Minnetonka/Hopkins School District community education.  She is also the Dance Coordinator for Retro Ballroom, and is responsible for presenting the weekly dances to Retro’s Dance community.  Laurel also belongs to the Aquagliders Dance Club and has served as their President, as well as Secretary of the LaDanza Dance Club
