In its first year of business, Slippers was nominated for Wisconsin's Main Street Business of the Year. Julie was also interviewed several times on the La Crosse TV news.   Julie's dance experience includes American smooth and rhythm and International standard and latin. As a competitive dancer, Julie has received multiple 1st place awards in silver level competitions. She is currently working toward teacher certification.   Julie is passionate about dance and appreciates the opportunity to share the many jewels that dance has to offer. She is also a strategic life and business developer, founder of Move As One, LLC, and creator of the M-O-V-E method. Julie has found dance to be a life enhancing activity and another way to learn the "art of connection". She writes a monthly column in the Dancing Times called, Dance Into Your Best Life. Join her as she shares her commitment to use dance for joyful inspiration.

 Ellymae Toupin

When she was a teenager, Ellymae started her ballroom career as one of Jeff Nehrbass' students.  She found learning ballroom was natural for her and started competitions after only dancing for a year.  Now she has leaped one step further and is an instructor at Retro Ballroom, and is in progress of earning her United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (U.N.I.S.T.D).  She is familiar with everything from the Waltz to the Cha Cha and is passionate about encouraging others to learn a variety of dances, no matter what level they are.  Most important to Ellymae is to make her students succeed in their dancing.  Whether you want to learn new dances, techniques or try something new, Ellymae would love to assist you in achieving your goals.

Bryson Hunter

Bryson began his dance career as founder and Co-Captain of Hopkins High School hip hop dance team, Deeply Royals. Since then, Bryson has been performing throughout the Twin Cities at various venues and events, and has taught classes at Art Of Dance, Zenon, Fairview Park, Hopkins High, and North Point Dance Studio. Although Bryson continues to teach hip hop classes at On Your Toes School of Dance, he has expanded his love for dance to all forms of partner dancing!
