Here are reasons why dance teachers choose to teach at On Your Toes:
School background
  • On Your Toes is family-owned by Jeff and Cindy Nehrbass, and opened in 1994.  We have one large facility located in St. Louis Park which holds 2 professional floating Marley floor performing art studios and 2 sprung hardwood floor ballrooms, providing space to hold 4 classes at a time.
  • We cater to both children and adults.  We realize that most of our dancers will not become professional dancers.  We strive to provide a fun but educational environment with well organized administration and first rate equipment and facilities.
  • Dance styles we offer through group or private lessons include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Liturgical and Pointe.  As well as all forms of Ballroom and Latin dances:  Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Tango, Rumba, Country and more!
Why teach with us?
  • Small class sizes
We limit class sizes to make classes easier to control and monitor for teachers and to give more personalized attention to students.  Our classes for ages 2-5 are limited to a moximum of 8 students per class.  Our classes for ages 6 and up are limited to 12 students per class.
  • Administrative support
In many studios there is no receptionist or administrator on duty.  This means that the teachers are faced with administration details when they should be concentrating on teaching.  We have front desk administrative staff during class times to handle routine questions and details that arise.
  •  Floating Marley dance floors
We use professional Marley floors.  Our dance floors rest on a system of 700 high density foam blocks.  This dance floor helps prevent injuries and fatigue.  A good quality dance floor is a consideration if you are going to be teaching for a few hours each day.  A supportive quality floor allows you to protect your most important assets-your body and your ability to teach.
  •  Extras are taken care of
We try to take care of all the extra details throughout the year.  Teachers are not required to collect any fees.  We also take care of the organization of both recitals every year.  We try to have everything well organized so the teachers are free to concentrate on teaching.
